Apache CloudStack Collaboration Conference Call for Proposals
We're pleased to announce that the Call for Proposals for the first CloudStack Collaboration Conference is now open!
The Collaboration Conference will feature tracks for users and developers of Apache CloudStack, with presentations that provide insight into best practices in deploying and developing Apache CloudStack. This will be an outstanding opportunity for developers to collaborate, share ideas, and get work done face-to-face with other Apache CloudStack contributors to improve Apache CloudStack.
The Conference will be held Las Vegas at The Venetian, from Friday, November 30th through Sunday, December 2nd.
Submitting Your Proposal
You'll need to do three things to submit a proposal:
When submitting your talk proposal please give a detailed description of your talk to help us when selecting talks. If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to email community@cloudstack.org.
Proposals
The program committee will be looking for presentations and workshops related to working with and developing Apache CloudStack. This includes everything from running CloudStack at scale, best practices for working with IaaS clouds, discussions about CloudStack's architecture, proposals for post-4.0 development, and more. We're also open to talks on tools that go hand-in-hand with managing Apache CloudStack, like configuration management and monitoring tools.
In short, if it's relevant to Apache CloudStack deployment and development, we're interested in what you might have to say.
Submit Your Speaking or Workshop Proposal Today
We're aiming to hold the Conference as reasonably close to the Apache CloudStack 4.0 release as possible, so we're on a tight timeline. To keep to this timeline, we need community members to submit proposals quickly.
The dates for the proposals are as follows:
- The call for proposals opens on September 24th, 2012.
- The call for proposals closes on October 12th, 2012.
- Notifications will go out on October 19th, 2012.
- Confirmations will be due by October 23rd, 2012.
Travel Sponsorships
Not sure if you can afford the airfare and lodging to attend the Collaboration Conference? Please don't let that stop you from submitting your best proposal. We will be making a number of travel sponsorships available for speakers who have useful information to share with the Apache CloudStack community.
